Transmitted below is a link to the latest update by the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on civilian casualties during the war in Ukraine.

As of September 11, 2023, the UN's confirmed total for "those killed in territory controlled by the Government when casualties occurred" was 7481.

Before Israel cut off all communications out of Gaza on the night of October 27 in anticipation of launching an even more intensive killing spree, the Palestinian Ministry of Health's confirmed figure of those killed by Israel on the territory of the Gaza Strip was more than 7600, including more than 3000 children. These figures counted only bodies brought to hospitals or other Ministry of Health facilities. There were also an estimated 1650 bodies, half of them children, remaining under the rubble of their homes (https://www.aljazeera.com/gallery/2023/10/28/mass-graves-unclaimed-bodies-the-war-robs-gaza-of-funeral-rites). All of these numbers have surely increased significantly since communications out of Gaza were cut.

It follows that more civilians have now been killed, with full-throated Western support and approval, during three weeks of Israel's exercising its "right to self-defense" than were killed during 19 months of "Putin's brutal war of aggression."

How likely is it that the pro-war, pro-apartheid, pro-genocide Western mainstream media will deem this milestone of savagery newsworthy?
